It doesn’t get much better than Mike Pence. The guy is a rock solid conservative who sticks to his principles even when it isn’t popular. For example, Pence loves and respects his wife. So, he does the following.
From Los Angeles Times:
Ashley Parker, the reporter, noted that Vice President Mike Pence once had told The Hill, a political newspaper and website, that he never dines with women alone, nor does he attend functions without his wife if alcohol is being served.
Obviously, that’s a kind gesture that used to be a lot more normal than it is now.
However, liberals had a field day. Heck, in this very same Los Angeles Times article the author tried to smear him.
Was this a sign of marital devotion and respect? Or a signal that the Pences don’t trust Mike Pence to be alone with a woman? Or perhaps don’t trust a woman to be alone with Mike Pence?
Yeah, that’s it. Mike Pence is such a creep that he can’t even handle being in the same room as a woman without assaulting her. Get out of here with that.
On Wednesday, Mike Pence made a special trip that you might not hear about on CNN.
Benny Johnson has the details.
From The Daily Caller:
It’s Thanksgiving Eve.
Families across the country are en-route to visit loved ones and friends for some warm holiday cheer. However, some families of wounded American service members will be spending the holidays away from home and in a hospital next to their injured sons or daughters, husbands or wives.
Many of those families will be at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, which is the nation’s largest military Hospital.
Wounded service members and their families received an unexpected treat on Wednesday, when they were able to give thanks and receive encouragement from Vice President Mike Pence and second lady Karen Pence.
Gotta love it.
Vice President Mike Pence gave thanks Wednesday for medical professionals who help service members overcome injury, saying during an early Thanksgiving visit with some of those who care for the wounded that they give their best to America’s best.”
[Vice President Mike Pence] and his wife, Karen, met privately with five Army members hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda.
They later met with recovering patients and relatives, doctors and other caregivers at a USO facility on campus.
“You give your best to America’s best,” Pence told the doctors and others gathered together at the USO Warrior and Family Center for a photo as he concluded the visit. “We’re all grateful for you and thankful for you. Happy Thanksgiving.”
Man, even liberals have to admit that’s pretty cool.
The holidays must be such a difficult time for the soldiers who are hospitalized and the families are certainly suffering too. It probably meant the world that the Vice-President of the United States took the time out of his busy schedule to come by and offer his condolences and encouragement.
A class act. Through and through.
